Voxmaxa is a multiplayer FPS game set in a world of blocks, and you play it right in your web browser. Pick a game mode and a character, then fight other players with a bow, sword, club or laser rifle, and build forts out of blocks for cover, or gather resources and build in calmer modes. There is nothing to install and no account to create: press Play and you are in.
How to play Voxmaxa
- Pick a mode on the start screen, choose a character or weapons where the mode offers them, and press Play.
- Move with W, A, S and D or the arrow keys, and look around with the mouse. Space jumps, Shift sprints and C crouches. On a phone or tablet, use the on-screen joystick and buttons.
- Attack with the left mouse button. The right mouse button places blocks, blocks with a sword, or zooms a rifle’s scope. Press 1 to 9 to choose a hotbar slot and R to reload.
- Know the characters. The Drake fights with a sword, the Aelfar with a bow, the Hammerborn with a club, the Sonari with a laser rifle, and Nutcracker with a musket.
- Climb the ranks as you play, from Blockhead to Voxelder.
What game modes are there?
A few of Voxmaxa’s many modes:
- Flashpoint: a red team and a blue team fight with guns.
- Bedwars: your team’s bed lets you respawn. Defend it, and break the other teams’ beds.
- Survival: gather resources and stay alive against hunger and hostile mobs. Peaceful is the same without hunger or hostile mobs.
- Creative: build whatever you want with unlimited blocks, and press F to fly.
- Kit PvP: defeat other players to earn points, build forts out of wool blocks, and mine ore for powerups.
Tips
- Use cover. Put blocks between you and anyone with a bow or a gun.
- Keep away from the Hammerborn. It is the toughest character but the slowest, so stay out of reach of its club.
- Mine ore in Kit PvP for powerups such as speed, jump and damage boosts.
- Wall in your bed. In Bedwars, surround your bed with blocks so enemies must dig to reach it.
Play with friends
Press Play with friends to get an invite code. Share it, and your friends join you on the public server or on a party server of your own.

Can I play alone?
Yes. Combat modes such as Kit PvP include bots online, and the cloud icon on the start screen switches to offline single player.
Does it work on a phone or Chromebook?
Yes. Voxmaxa runs in modern browsers on desktops, laptops and Chromebooks. On phones and tablets, you play with an on-screen joystick and buttons, though a few modes that need a keyboard, such as Bedwars, are not offered there.
Is Voxmaxa like Minecraft?
If you enjoy Minecraft, Voxmaxa will feel familiar: it is a world of blocks you mine, gather and build in, with survival and creative modes and an infinite map. It is a separate game, not a mod, and it is not affiliated with Minecraft or Mojang. It also goes somewhere else — team shooters, Bedwars, 1v1 ranked duels and parkour courses share the same blocks and characters — and it runs in a browser tab with nothing to install.
Is Voxmaxa a sandbox or a survival game?
Both, depending on the mode you pick. Survival drops you into an infinite world to gather resources and stay alive against hunger and hostile mobs. Peaceful is the same world without either. Creative gives you unlimited blocks and lets you fly. Place a Pylon to protect what you build so it is still standing when you come back.
Can I play Bedwars in a browser?
Yes. Bedwars is one of Voxmaxa’s modes: your team’s bed is your respawn, so defend it and break the other teams’. Lose your bed and you stop coming back. It needs a keyboard, so play it on a desktop, laptop or Chromebook.
